Warped Lenses, Robot CS, and No Returns: My Online Optical Nightmare! 😡
I have to warn everyone about my terrible online shopping experience. It's been the absolute worst eye glass service I have ever experienced, and I truly feel compelled to share my story. My lenses arrived warped, and as someone who works in the medical field, imagine how poorly my job was done while wearing these glasses. This is simply unacceptable in all aspects. To make matters worse, you have to talk to a robot for service; you can't talk to a live person when you call for anything, and the answer to everything is "we will send you a text to your phone." I'm now trying to get a return form that isn't even available on my account, and I dread how long this process will take. I reached out to customer service, hoping for a human touch and a swift resolution to this complete disaster.
Customer: I need help with my recent order. My lenses are completely warped, and I can barely see straight, let alone do my job in the medical field. CS Rep: I understand how frustrating that must be, especially with your critical work. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Could you please provide your order number so I can look into this for you? Customer: It's #12345. And honestly, it's just so frustrating that I can't even get a human on the phone initially. Everything is automated. CS Rep: I hear your feedback regarding our customer service channels, and I apologize for any difficulty reaching us. I see your order for prescription glasses here. Regarding the warped lenses, we can certainly arrange for a replacement immediately. Customer: A replacement is fine, but how quickly can this happen? And where is the return form on my account? I need to send these back, but I can't find it. CS Rep: You won't find a direct return form on your account, but I can initiate the return and replacement process for you right now. I'll send an email with a return label and instructions shortly. Once we receive the original pair, we'll expedite the new lenses.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
